Egypt has reportedly begun building an underground iron wall along its border with the Gaza Strip, taking an extreme measure to end smuggling through tunnels there. Egyptian security officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the wall project is under way. The Egyptian project comes at the encouragement of the United States.US army engineers have designed the wall and US firms have manufactured its sections.
